I don't hate it... but I'm just slow as fuck compared to all the people that text message like they're addicted to it. I fucking hate those people...

@emilis
And then we can send all of them to the alt moon to get rid of them.

Sending positive n-words to all the Fedi frens 🤗

@histoire
Happens to me all the time.
Except I usually wake up at 2-3am with an interesting thought, but I'm too lazy to open the phone at that hour to post. So I desperately try to make myself remember it in the morning. 90% of the time, it doesn't work.

@MisterRogersSnapped
The worse part is that I don't even have the exact same reference in every one. And some are more obscure than others.
But yeah, I doubt there's anyone out there other than me obsessed enough with HL to do this.

@TheAncestor
Cause it's my favorite game series ever and HL1 is probably the game I replayed most times.

Fun fact: all my fedi accounts have at least 1 Half-Life reference in the profile description.

Anime proceeds with typical rich highschool stuff and plot surrounding student council president elections, and then ends with the reveal that the victim at the start of the show didn't die, she's just in a coma. Also, I think she's a student in the same highschool.

And the bribe might also be highschool connected. Seriously, this highschool seems to have more politics inside it than a small country.

Fucking japanese....

Show thread

@beardalaxy
I've kinda abandoned western shows and movies, so that freed up more time for anime lately. Last Hollywood movie I watched was probably Spiderman Far From Home. And the only movie I want to watch in the near future is the next Spiderman movie.

How normal people pick anime:
>this show has an interesting story

How I pick anime:
>this female character has a cute/beautiful design. I must find the sauce!

@beardalaxy @nukie
My introduction to anime was Sailor Moon, Shaman King, Bleach. After which I went through a lot of these slice of life/highschool comedy types, like Kokoro Connect, Chuunibyou, then hit Death Note, Fairy Tail and a whole lot more.

What I missed a lot of are what would be considered newbie/elite. A lot of the very often quoted ones, like Akira, Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchimist etc.

Anime starts with a bribe conspiracy and a cold blooded murder and then proceeds with a generic, upbeat slice of life intro music.

Fucking japanese...

@Mogami @nukie @TheAncestor
It was the same from me, and I did enjoy it, but I still felt like I would not understand things left and right. The translator notes helped, but only so far.

@TheAncestor @nukie
Not an elitist thing. It's just that a lot of Lucky Star can easily go over your head without context.
