@xue
I'm Romanian. I give @nosleep a Romanian jokes pass and a g-word pass.

It's very possible that Ubisoft gets bought eventually, but I don't see Disney buying Microsoft. I think Disney will strictly keep to entertainment stuff. Maybe they'll buy a Spotify competitor or some anime streaming service.

@pasture
Ubisoft is still doing just fine by itself. Activision Blizzard is about to implode. It makes sense to sell Activision and have Microsoft deal with the image problems surrounding sexual harassment.
And Microsoft probably managed to negotiate a lower price because of the worsening public image Activision has.

My opinion is irrelevant. My country sucks massive dick at product diversity. The only "good" razors you can find in stores are Gillette and the only choice of shaving cream are Gillette or Nivea (if you even think of trying anything else, it basically means you hate yourself and your skin).
In any case, I switched to an electric shaving machine and it's actually been a better experience than any razor.

My guess would be that by cooking, the seasoning loses some of its flavor.

Not sure how I got dragged into this. Are we making it a hellthread or something? Should I start tagging people?

@LouisConde
I would say the original point still stands. Besides, I'd wager a majority of people on Twitter who actually interact with these discussions aren't actually normal working class.

@vib
I used to screw the vga cable at the monitor end, but not the gpu end.

As far as I know, you can get good ships through gameplay too. You can claim that it's too hard to get, but that's again not something unique to Star Citizen.
Something that might be unique, is that there are too many ships that are exclusive to outside game transactions. And if all or an overwhelming majority of the best ships are only available by spending $, that is something I can indeed criticize, but I don't know if that's the case.

Hearing Luke's pain with getting Floatplane on Apple Store makes me ask: how the fuck can people stand to use iPhones?!

@icedquinn
If people are that stupid to buy it, that's their problem. But the issue here imo is the prices they charge, not the fact that they give new players an undesirable ship.
The former is the scam that is present in every part of this game, the latter is normal RPG practice.

@icedquinn
Sorry man, I'm just not convinced. There are countless RPGs that give you bad items at the start that have paid content day one, and people don't do shit about it. And ultimately you can't do shit. A game needs to have a sense of progression. For that you're gonna need to start with the shit items.
If the start ship wasn't dirty, you'd still complain that it was the worst ship in the game and that it manipulates people into paying real money for a better one. Even if the starter ship was mid tier, people would still complain the game promotes spending real money cause even better ships are available from the jpeg store.
Basically imo you're asking them to break the game by removing progression because they decided to have paid stuff available.

@matrix
If this were from another site I'd think that too. But this is XDA... the site where people go to root their phones, find custom ROMs and much more. Their audience is not comprised of boomers and retards.

@icedquinn
I don't disagree that Star Citizen is manipulative, but considering no one attacks Skyrim for not starting you off with an ebony sword, while payed mods that offer you good gear exist, I just don't feel it would be honest for me to criticize Star Citizen for this.

@icedquinn
Isn't it a common trope for RPGs to start you with a rusty sword or something? Doesn't sound all that unusual.

1℃ right now. It's still morning. We should have had at least a -5℃ or maybe even -10℃ at this time of year.
