@matana with animal crossing, when it updated once it required me to log in to my nintendo account to play it at all, so i'd be a little wary of that. i had a physical cartridge and it still just said NOPE, sorry, can't play unless you log in!

so i would be wary of that, for sure. i don't know if there are any workarounds or not.
