@matana i don't know what to tell you... that specific thumbnail tweet doesn't exist and it never did. hero hei doesn't show it in the video and there are no links to it or mentions of it in the twitter thread he's talking about in the video.
that twitter account never even posted anything BLM related, surprisingly. the only stuff on there is about the game. larian studio's account only ever retweeted one BLM thing and it was because a game convention or something that their game was going to be at was moving the date due to BLM stuff. there is zero mention of race anywhere else. if you can find the tweet i'll gladly eat my words but as it stands i don't believe it exists and i never saw this specific tweet back in the day either, just the original update article making fun of people for making super generic characters.
they're "poking their nose" into every aspect of the game. it's in development. you would do the exact same thing if it wasn't early access and you had a local team of testers. you'd want to know exactly what kind of characters they created in case there are bugs regarding certain pieces or combinations. you'd also want to know what kind of characters people are making so you can potentially shift focus in certain areas if need be. just because the game's beta is playable by anyone doesn't mean it's any different, they just have a larger sample size without having to pay anyone.
if my game had character creation in it i would probably be doing the same thing and, in fact, i've asked people to send me their save files before so i can make sure everything is working correctly and see how they have progressed through the game so i know where to make adjustments, particularly in enemy balance. it really shouldn't surprise anyone that an early access game is trying to glean information on literally everything you do in the game so that they can make it the best they can.
