copying files to a usb stick in linux, then putting it into my windows pc seems to just show all the files as having 0 bytes and it stays that way when i put it back in linux.
super weird, i'm only using exfat so it isn't anything linux specific or whatever.
if i wasn't using cloud storage there would be no way for me to get my game files back on my pc lol.
@beardalaxy I hate weird shit like that, glad you had backup
@Jazzy_Butts yeah current version is on my laptop, last three versions on my SSD, and 8 versions on my HDD in two separate partitions as well as on the google drive (which also has the current version on it at all times from autosync).
i was meaning to turn this usb stick into a way of not having to sync with google drive all the time because it's a lot longer to do that than it would be to just transfer files, but i'm having some problems with that xD
@Jazzy_Butts well apparently i just had to wait for a little bit before ejecting because apparently linux will let you eject without the files fully copying over >.>
@Corfiot @Jazzy_Butts yeah i was looking into syncthing a while ago, but for what i want to do with it, the complication of setting it all up just isn't necessary atm. long story short.
