@LukeAlmighty if we're talking about just random shit that you get for free then sure, i can see how someone might like lootboxes more. if we're talking about actually paying for stuff though, a premium battle pass or whatever is much better than getting who knows what for your money.

this stuff normally happens in f2p games anyway, although you aren't buying the game so much as you're buying the extra content.

The only free game I have ever conidered buying was Star trek online. (sadly, back then I didn't have the income to support it, and now, it is a dead franchise.)
But that game did contain a lifetime purchuse. And that is something I can respect. Because I seriously cannot immagine buying premium currency, that will be worthless in a week.

The problem I have with battle pass is, that it makes you game into a job. And I mean serious 9-5 with idiot manager.
Lootboxes on the other hand is a random reward you get once in a while. So, that's nice.
