@matrix because, if people actually did that, nobody would buy any more fuel for their cars and the entire petroleum industry would die out.

@dead_man @matrix the real reasons are that it would be hard to see, it would cost a *lot* more to produce (let alone to fix), and with all of the other cars on the road nobody would actually go the way they wanted to so there would be accidents all over the place.
