@LukeAlmighty google's ads at the top of the search results have ALWAYS been sketchy as FUCK. my roommate downloaded GPU drivers from one of the ads and i had to unfuck everything.

@fuggy @LukeAlmighty i was using yandex right when DDG started censoring shit but i quickly found that yandex is not that great of a search engine. it never gave me that great of results, and clicking anything opens it up in a new tab instead of the same one which got annoying.
i use brave browser and brave search. honestly, brave search is pretty damn good, better than DDG ever was. i'm a big fan of the browser's built in adblock and how it blocks cookie popups now and just rejects all automatically. the wallet shit is something i always immediately disable because i don't care at all, but everything else about the browser is top notch.

@fuggy @LukeAlmighty google's actual search results are typically very good. it's the ads/google themselves that suck ass. so brave using them is something i'm fine with. brave adds in some useful features too and i like their image search better as well.
