my second thought is, if you survey adult women how many will express a preference for (consensual, obviously) physical aggression to at least *some* degree? probably a significant fraction. there's data of varying reputability on this stuff floating around but I don't have it to hand

And yeah there is a good reason why women have always eaten up erotica involving stuff like BDSM. Many of them like to be dominated, plain and simple. Porn is fucked, obviously, but it is in some ways a reflection of actual human sexuality.
