yep. this game is FUCKING AWESOME.
it's got a demo that's basically an early access version of the game, 10+ tracks and a lot of different vehicles to choose from.

Hm... I like the idea.
@LukeAlmighty yeah you basically have to chain boosts together to maintain maximum speed, it's pretty fun.
i was a little weirded out at first because the length of each boost is set. you can't hold it to continue boosting. but once i learned that, it all came together for me. the boost pads are normally spaced out in a way that you can pretty naturally chain stuff together.
I never knew that there'd be a WipEout inspired game like that after the Spark series. Might look into this when it's done.
@berkberkman i've never heard of feperd before honestly, this is the first time.
it's a lot more f-zero inspired too. most of these future racers ARE like wipeout, but this one is purely f-zero.

So, I've just tried the demo.
Game looks great, but my GPU was boiling.

This is one of the first games I remember playing. And yes, these are japanese symbols. (I never stood a chance :D)
