I'm looking to set up my own Misskey server, so any recommendations for a cloud/host service that isn't shitty and cucked would be appreciated.
Also, I don't know what the hell I'm doing but I'll try to piece everything together with tutorials, even though I could only find Mastodon server tutorials. 
All I know is that I need those two things mentioned above.

@veru i'd recommend setting it all up on your own since this method can lag a bit behind on updates, and if you do it yourself you can update things immediately when they're present.
but you can check out fediverse.express if you're just looking for a simple way to make an instance! :) i tried making a misskey one at first and there were some unique features there, but ultimately i went with pleroma.
then the people i made the instance for stopped using it. i updated it manually at one point to fix something, and then something else broke because of a regression in that update, so i tried to update automatically through f.e but the way it sets up the initial install is really weird so since i had done some manual tinkering it fucked the entire instance.
if i ever make another one i'll probably do it by hand.
@veru my only piece of advice is to only update through f.e and not on your own xD
@beardalaxy Ty fren. This is extremely helpful so I'll probably use that instead of setting it up on my own for now because I'm going completely blind into that otherwise and will 100% fuck it up. I still want to learn how to do it from scratch, too. I wish there was a video or picture tutorial specifically for Misskey. 🤔 I looked at the documentation for it and I think it's missing a lot of context. You definitely have to have prior experience with this sort of shit.
