Never liked rammestein. Always had this very "this is what someone who doesn't know what heavy metal is so they listen to this because they think that's it" kind of quality to it

I've been real big into drone/doom lately. Volume 1 by sleep was pretty good. Black One by Sunn O))) is good. Also I'm starting to come around on QOTSA, soundtracks for the deaf is pretty good
@doctorsex @beardalaxy Ever listen to Sleep? Or for a slower doom there’s Earth. I have to be in the right mood, but those guys are pretty awesome.
Earth was my gateway drug. Sleep I generally like but they're a bit more hit and miss for me
@doctorsex @beardalaxy Definitely gotta be in the mood for Sleep. I only really listen to their whole-album-length song dopesmoker To be honest. I think some of those guys are in High on Fire, who are pretty good. One of the guys from sleep is an orthodox monk and has this Deathtotheworld blog/zine.
