So I just found out that when a record company or music distribution service no longer has rights to music, it gets removed from streaming services. When it goes back up under another entity, it doesn't get linked to the original. So a good chunk of my library is just gone and that explains why my shuffle has been feeling really stale for the past year or so. Why the fuck is that a thing?
@beardalaxy This is why having physical media or raw audio files saved locally on your device is always the way to go.
@xianc78 yeah I'm feeling more and more inclined to go back to doing that. The appeal of streaming services is the convenience factor, but when it starts to become less convenient.... Ehhh....
Like EVERY Red Vox album is just gone from my library man, fuck
