@FortyTwo I'm seeing a lot of stuff like this and I wonder how real it is. I live in a place with a lot of illegals but not a lot of criminal activity so I haven't seen anything that drastic occurring. I'll have to ask my buddies who work in the city.
@bonkmaykr @FortyTwo the problem is that the people coming here illegally benefit far, far more than they contribute, and the actual citizens lose their benefits despite trying and being required to contribute more. they're offered special treatment which is a huge slap in the face of the people who are actually citizens.
as much as i sympathize with people who want to get away from a shit hole, there is only so much you can do about it. i believe our nation and our people come first and foremost before anyone else, and i think EVERY nation should think that way. mexico could fix their country, but the people in power stand to gain way more keeping things the way they are instead of actually caring about their people.
then there is the other issue that is much more of a cultural one. everyone is always like "oh yeah, i want my tacos!" or some shit, but our cultures do not mix well and fewer and fewer people crossing the border are willing to assimilate, with language just being the tip of the iceberg in that regard. anyone moving to another country should be learning the language, the customs, the currencies, and be respectful to their surroundings. i don't really see that. what i see instead are people taking advantage of our hospitality.
