inZOI very first impressions

Bought inZOI and played it for about 3 hours. 99% of that time was spent making one character. You can really go pretty in-depth with it. It does need a LOT more clothing options but given that it is early access, I think those will come over time. They have said that all content updates during early access will be completely free, so we'll have to see what gets added.

I popped into gameplay for a tiny bit and it seems VERY much like the Sims but with a few extra things. You can control your selected character directly with WASD for instance, and you can play around with the overall "vibe" of the town with sliders that affect things like crime, relationships, health, and more.

I was watching someone's stream of it and from what I can tell, it does appear that at least currently, the only way you're able to have a child is if you're married. NPCs have established sexual preferences, and you can't enter bathrooms that are for the opposite gender.

I'm going to keep playing it later, I'll let you guys know how it goes!

@beardalaxy Since it is very much like the well known series The Sims, make some more comparisons with those games when you write another post about the game.
I have heard that no babies and toddlers is a missing feature compared to The Sims, so that is an L to InZoi.

@Jens_Rasmussen I watched some other reviews and stuff too, there are babies. I don't THINK there are toddlers, but there are kids.

Sims 4 got much more annoying recently when they added infants too so I'd rather have this than that lmao.

on the other hand, the game has seasons by default which neither sims 3 or 4 had. you had to pay to get seasons in your game lol.

@Jens_Rasmussen even if you're not paying for it, everyone still had to wait to get something as basic as seasons in both of those games and when sims 4 launched it didn't even have pools for a while lol.

@beardalaxy Isn't Sims 4 generally considered a step down compared to 3 in all ways except performance? I don't follow the games that closely, but I think I've heard that said.
Follow

@Jens_Rasmussen yeah it definitely plays better and that actually really contributed to me preferring it more. But there's no open world, characters have less traits, and there is less customization available in pretty much every aspect. You can even make entire towns from scratch in 3. If sims 3 performed like 4 does I'd heavily prefer it
