I really hope there will still be options for those who want to do their computing locally, even with the rising prices for components. Maybe Mini-PCs will still be available or we just stick to older hardware and continue to write new software for it.

@xianc78 components should theoretically drop in price again once some new plants come around but that's still a few years out. I think cloud computing is something that was inevitable either way because there are people that would rather just do that.

@xianc78 there's pretty much nothing wrong with the parts we already have in circulation, even stuff that's pretty old at this point will do just fine as long as you're cool with not running your games at ultra settings (which is usually a waste anyway). I've got a buddy still using a 1660 Ti lol.

@xianc78 hell... My gpu is 8 years old at this point :CirnoForReals: still doing just fine and you can buy them used for like $200-$300.
