"This summer/winter is going to be one of the hottest/coldest on record!" is something I've heard my entire life and it means literally nothing.

Roommate was just telling me how hot summer is going to be next year because of El Nino being forecasted as very strong and how our temps are going to be 20% higher during the summer. Yeah, sure buddy. I seriously don't know how you can see a number like that somewhere and actually take it seriously. Turns out our summer in particular is going to be pretty much the same and every other season is going to be wetter and a little cooler which is REALLY GOOD.

This is why I didn't believe him with the Hades II taking less space than Hades I because of the 2D to 3D switch thing. The vast majority of what he says is just complete nonsense information that he doesn't understand passed down in short form content in a game of telephone. I keep telling him to do more research on stuff he sees but he just tells me "that's what you're for." I'm half tempted to just start agreeing with everything he says and see how insane he gets.
