why do people hate mario sunshine? it's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination.

@beardalaxy yeah I’ve been seeing more and more hate for it recently. It’s always been a bit of a divisive game, not having nearly the impact that Mario 64 did and all, but I still think it’s a lot of fun.

@pettanko it's got so much personality, the water graphics are phenomenal, I like the designs of all the levels, I even like the movement with fludd. It has some rough edges, sure, like a long intro and needing to kill petey piranha a bunch of times, but I don't think that makes it a bad game. I still have a lot of fun with it whenever I go to play it again.

@tomie Mario Sunshine is a good game, and I'm tired of pretending that it's not :legojoker:

@beardalaxy for starters, it's a platformer, so it's already the bottomest tier of videogames
second, it's the bottomest tier of platformers: the one with deliberately sadistic design
third, they took the only good thing about Mario 64 and threw it away
fourth, the plot is shit where the princess gets kidnapped again
fifth, nintendo bastards with EPI fetish force kids to play as a vomiting mount
it's not a good game, it's barely even a game

@tomie vomiting yoshi is hilarious I love the sound that little guy makes
