As the country begins to recover, we're not as "cheap in dollars" as we were at the beginning of the year and prior. Leftists now complain that we're losing "competitiveness".
Exporters are others in that camp: the less the ARS is worth, the happier exporters are. We're told it's good our currency is devalued because it benefits exporters. 20 years of "benefitting exporters" somehow have only destroyed the nation, so excuse my scepticism.
The left refer to the peso recovering its value as the country experiencing "inflation in dollars". They always have a frame to make it look as if objectively good things for the people are somehow bad.
We must destroy the currency so tourists can come here, spend a pittance and somehow that's good.
Like the Brazilians who'd come watch football matches in our stadiums and rip apart our $1000 ARS bills to mock our currency being worth less than theirs.
It's the second time we come to Argentina this year and everything is 4 times as expensive as in January.
