Russia is testing a new drone nicknamed "Arbalet” ("Арбалет") equipped with the barrel of a AKS-74U rifle chambered in 5.45.

The Arbalet has an operational range of 6–15 km (3.7 to 9.3 mi), can climb to 5 km (1.8 mi) altitude and reach speeds of around 100 km/h (62 mph).

The designated role seems to be an anti-drone convoy escort and short range base defense.
