Due to hardware constraints, i probably will not gonna keep working on this project, so i will let you see how it was until now.

@icedquinn It a lot more complex than my ten year old low end laptop could manage and it was a pain to render some parts, particularly the ones that have particles.

@hideki how is it even running blender. :blobcatsweat: using an old build? mine can't even run the 2.7/2.8s because of the GL 3 requirement.

there's ways to wrangle complex scenes, through things like baking and the compositor.

@icedquinn in fact i'm stuck with version 2.90.1 due to a change in the requeriments for the next versions and i outside of stuff like geometry nodes and such.

I have decided that i am comfortable right now with single frame projects, and for that same reason, instead of doing animated stuff, i'm going to try to compensate by filling the scenes with as much detail as i can.

@hideki i think you can get versions of Sverchok and Animation Nodes for older Blenders. which are more powerful than geometry nodes, should you end up wanting them.

i don't do big scene renders with Blender :blobcatderpy: i just remember that a lot of film stuff tends to use proxy scenes where a lot of the detail has been cut away so it still all fits on their workstation. and depending on the scene and effects therein, they can be rendered to individual render layers which are mixed in the compositor.

this lets them respond to weird queries like "what if we made the characters a different shade of blue" by just color mapping the render instead of sending it off to the server farm to bake again.

i dunno. stuff to think about.
