It is not bad at all to have rules, but coming in too hot has been the demise of many instance's reputationds.

Kiwifarms, freespeechextremist, quitter, gab, the one you are posting from... They come advertising themselves as the last bastion of shitposting and free speech, but once the people inside start having controversial opinions that are not the liking of the admins then the paint starts to peel off.

Another "Free speech" "le edgi shitposting" instance turned into Twitter2 again? We have one of those each week now.
