So my VPS host is now complaining that someone did a web form attack from my exit node. Like what am I supposed to do now? I can't block port 443. That's HTTPS.

@matrix lololol, that sounds great. What host? I run like 5 tor nodes but no exits.

@valiant
It's hicoria.com, but I'm probably going to have to switch if this continues or they finally make up their mind if I can run a Tor exit node or not.

@matrix lmfao, did you not get permission or did they just switch up? Iâve seen a ton of exitâs on companies like Online SAS and confused how they get away with it. Iâm guessing you hold strict policies but have the vitals like 443? Abuse reports must be kinda rare I guess ð

@matrix hosting an exit on a vps is asking for trouble, I run mine from home

@sampo
Yeah nah. That would nuke my connection and I would need a public IP, plus I'm pretty sure that's against the ToS of many commercial grade connections.

@matrix haha yeah, I received an angery email from the isp after the first police visit but I just told them that I'd be very happy to offer my money to a competing isp if they can't deal with me. that was a few years ago and my internet connection still works.
@sampo @matrix tor project specifically says running an exit node from home is dangerous because then it's your house that gets raided.

@matrix I ran Tor for a quite some time, but I never was brave enough to have exit node. In my opinion having it can even get you to jail. Dangerous stuff.

@Mac_CZ
I think that the cops get it.
It would also set a bad precedent.
