Normal people use the words sex and gender interchangeably, they're not endorsing concepts like pregnant men or women with penises. To the extent that gender endorses the idea that biological men can be women, it's Cultural Marxist garbage. And if gender rather reflects stereotypical male and female traits (as I've seen some sociologists argue), then terms like "masculine" and "feminine" serve that purpose better.

Of course, then we would talking about masculine women and feminine women, rather than pretending that self-identity can magically change reality.

To be honest, I'm not that convinced anymore that gender is not tied to biology. It might not be strictly tied directly to chromosomes, but I'm starting to think it's probably tied to our natural hormone levels, especially those in the womb period of our lives. And considering how out of whack testosterone and estrogen levels seem to be in the adult population these days...

Also, we can't ignore the over 99% correlation between sex and gender. Yes, correlation is not causation, but there is certainly something that ties sex and gender here. What it is, and why it breaks down sometimes, remains to be discovered. And hopefully we'll be able then to develop better ways to deal with gender dysphoria than chopping off body parts. Cause that shit is barbaric in my view. It might be necessary for now, and the best course of action, but I still think it's barbaric.

A lot could be said about the "almost" part, but I won't. What I will say is that there are non-social moments where sex does matter a lot. And you can't really have people sperging out "it's mam!" in places like a hospital, where treatment options can depend on one's sex.

People can do whatever they want with their bodies, I personally don't care. And for the most part, I'll respect their choices and call them a woman or a man, as long as they're being reasonable about it. But if a Steve Shives looking bastard comes before me, and demands to be called a 100% woman, fuck that.
