@matrix And people don't believe me when I tell them linux is more user-friendly.

@Zerglingman @matrix Cool! Reminds me I should check out OpenBSD or NetBSD sometime on a spare drive.

@Zerglingman
I actually believe that the forced Windows updates are a good thing because people don't update.
The noob friendly Linux distros should have the ability to force updates like Windows does.

@matrix That's fair enough, but forcing restarts is still very uhhh
@matrix Addendum: Forced updates should have a week's delay on them so bugged things can be rescinded before they hit the mass. I suppose Microsoft does that. I suppose it doesn't work.

@Zerglingman
Definitely. I don't know about regular updates but the big ones are delayed and are rolled out in waves.

@Zerglingman
Yeah, the implementation is still kinda broken. Lot of people still get their machines restarted while they are actively using it. Like how hard it is to check if you are receiving input?

@matrix I remember the time I was trying to do an overnight download, and had pending updates, so I kept sleeping it for 4 hours. Woke up in the morning to restarted computer and broken file. I should have given up on Windows right then and there.

@matrix @Zerglingman
Forced restarts? how about forced freeezes from "update on background" and random ×100 startup times? nah....

forced restarts are the last of the problem with that joke.

@LukeAlmighty
Yeah. Windows just randomly decides to do something in the background even while it's under load.
