J.R.R.Tolkein even has a catalogue of all the letter himself and his sons sent to Father Christmas and all the responses.

Also Sony once sued Father Christmas because his elves were making PS3s for Christmas, giving them away for free and infringing on copyright. Why would Sony spend billions in legal fees on someone who doesn't exist?

@matrix I think this is the simplest example of exemplifying how America has changed, and specifically how desegregation and demographic shifts have completely destroyed any kindness and goodwill from the country. It used to be that letters addressed to Santa or the North Pole would actually get responses. I don't think they ever read the letters but the the post office would send back letters from "Santa" letting the child know that their letter was received and wishing them a Merry Christmas.
