Just make sure that your older board has adequate power delivery for the new CPU. I remember this being a bit of a concern when this series launched.
@alyx I have a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max which people say works without issues
@matrix Buy a house instead.
Ryzen 5000 still costs the same even though it's getting beaten by Intel now
