Do Americans pay for gas before or after they pump it?
you have the choice of either
they dont let you pump before paying where i live.
you can put your card in and it charges you as you pump cant you?

Yeah, because you have to prove that you have the means to pay.

Also others in the tread are saying it puts a hold on your card to check for money.
