@matrix @sjw not that it's an excuse, but it's probably because of appstore requirements. they censored all the boob games after all

@Moon
Certainly possible that they read too much into the ToS or some reviewer reviewed it retardedly and they went all in on the censorship to make the reviewer happy, but I'm pretty sure there are other apps like Kobo, Bookwalker and Kindle where you can get these uncensored.
@sjw

@coolboymew @sjw @matrix I love how they capitalise "audacity" like the program.

Isn't Square enix owned by sony ?
@coolboymew @sjw @matrix @Moon The app gives them an excuse to file dmca takedowns on all the fanslations.

Let's not forget when Sony put out DVDs of movies with a copy protection that could only be descrambled by Sony's brand of DVD players.
That's still being used, but since has been ironed out to just make fake bad sectors on duplication attempts.
@camedei456 @sjw @matrix @Moon @coolboymew
DVD was fucking cursed.
Almost none would play on the quite popular TV/standalone DVD Player my family had and you would basically have to test it on a bunch of different computer drives, effectively forcing you to make rips.

At least the data hoarding setup for movies was already done at home.

Was it any Sony DVD before May 2007, though?
ARccOS (Sony DADC's DVD copy protection) had made a revision around the end of April '07 that promised more compatibility.
In fact, most DVDs of movies from that time period that are on sale now presumably seem to be from that later run, since people who bought the first pressings of movies during that period never traded them when Sony Pictures offered by-mail replacements.
@camedei456 @sjw @matrix @Moon @coolboymew I have no idea, that's stuff from before ~2010 (who would pain for the pain of DVDs when warez works fine?)

A bunch of the big titles from the first version of ARccOS were:
Open Season, Rocky Balboa, The Holiday, Stranger Than Fiction, Casino Royal and Monster House.
