@matrix I suspect it's blood based on how the tissue absorbed the red stuff. If it was ketchup, something that has more cohesion and is more mud-like ( can't find the right word) it wouldn't splatter that way in my experience.

I've never bled to such extent for it to form such chunks.

you even get similar when you have a shower, just blood is thicker so it can pool into bigger blobs
