@LukeAlmighty It does monetarily make sense though.
PC you can get for a price of a console will perform much worse and if you already have a laptop for school or office work and you just want to play mainstream games. Xbox Series X with a subscription will give you more games than you can manage.

Although, I seriously cannot say, that I do understand the value proposition.
