@mer @matrix @newt It looks to me that Canada doesn't require an emancipation process to be considered a "Mature Minor" but specifics vary by province, as low as 16 would effectively apply most places. 14 could apply in Quebec depending on if they consider death to be a "grave and permanent effect" when it's the goal of the medical treatment or if that makes it exempt.
@Zettour @matrix @newt emancipation has a lot of specifics in different places, notably because different places have different rights gated by majority. It's also of note that it can be reversed and is not an just an early majority.
