Why the fuck are my VMs running like shit on my new PC? Is VirtualBox 7.2 broken?
@matrix there was a reason i used vmware back in the day
@PurpCat I hate that vmware always captures your cursor or that it doesn't play well with hosts onscreen keyboard (forgot which one)
@matrix If you have WSL configured, say goodbye to Virtualbox. It's supposed to have an option for a Hyper-V backend, but I never got that to work.
@phnt I don't, I think, it's a new install and I never turned it on

@phnt oh, I think I mighy know what's the issue, Memory Integrity is on by default. I will try disabling that once a transcode finishes

@matrix Yeah, it's stupidly hard to get working. I completely gave up on VirtualBox, couldn't download VMWare due to Broadcom being retarded (I'm not making an account just to download VMWare), and ultimately settled on using Hyper-V.
It sucks, has no fucking concept of passing the video output besides a tiny window that barely works. But at least it works.

@matrix Btw the intended way of getting video out of a Hyper-V VM is through RDP or VNC.
@matrix Somehow Windows managed to make virtualization more hard than on my work CrapBook where both UTM and Parallels just work.
