@teto Probably yeah, but I'm crippled so when I tried that two years ago I gave up after like two weeks because it went too slow and was really exhausting.
@teto yeah, there are definitely better examples
@teto skill issue imho, english has fairly easy spelling and i mostly learned by listening too.
autocorrect is bad, i forgot a lot of spellings for both czech and english due to using autocorrect.
@teto I blame communism
@teto skill issue imo, my parents could speak russian very well when they were my age and still could get around when they visited russia (although they forgot a lot due to not using it).
english only started getting seriously taught here in the late 00s and just schools teaching it isn't enough, you need parents and siblings good at the language for it to stick. sweden has almost everyone bilingual since they've been teaching it for decades and the tiny iq difference doesn't doesn't explain such a drastic difference.
@teto it's fully understandable they can't speak english since they weren't taught at school. mine can't speak it either much. communism delayed teaching of it by basically 40 years.
@teto you need kanji even to read very basic shit
@teto vietnamese doesn't have many homophones and it still didn't translate fully
