BF3 still has a pretty decent playerbase and it's older.
Yeah, Hardline was a pretty big departure from the main series so people dislike that so because of that many people ignored or ditched it.

I finally managed to play a few DLC maps from Battlefield Hardline by sheer luck and I think they were quite good. I legit don't understand why the game is basically dead with only around 60 players. I don't want to play just Dust Bowl and Downtown.
