I would somewhat agree, reality has caveats, which he demonstrates well in his latest abortion video, but I don't believe your example works. A bad apple means you check them all and throw out the rotten one, which would translate into pouring out the bathwater and keeping the baby.

However I think he meant it for specific cases, especially of behavior, the video this comes from is about purity spirals and where he takes the stand that purity spirals while a good short term strategy are ultimately an destructive behavior leading to bad outcomes no matter who does it and it makes no sense for you to be both for and against it.

There's no proof that low birth rates of whites (especially since it isn't exclusive to whites) are intentional and therefore it isn't a genocide and changes in populations are a thing that regularly happens. He never celebrated nor denied it, he simply isn't having a spasm about something he can't change. You are touchy about this soundbite because it's about you.

But the point is more:
You have an equation x + y = z,
if you put x = 6, y = 3, you get z = 9 and side A celebrates, side B seethes.
If you put x = 8, y = 1, you get z = 9 and side A seethes, side B celebrates.
That is illogical. An equation is either always correct or always wrong (I'm not claiming correct and wrong in political moral sense, it's about consistency). If the equation is broken or calculation is done wrong, nobody should celebrate and if it isn't nobody should seethe.
