Another argument is that it's just nostalgia or you didn't notice because you were a kid. The thing is the argument can to a certain point work, however not always. I can't be nostalgic for games, movies and series I have never played/seen or only played/seen last year.

No. When I played Kingdom Come: Deliverance I had a feeling of immersion and exploration that I haven't felt in years. It's not because I grew old, it's because games now are full of shitty writing, shitty UI and even more scummy business practices that festered on mobile.
There could however be also survivor's bias added to the mix. For example we don't remember what kind of games released during the video game crash in the 80s.

Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked to show you were never a fascist, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a disgusting neoplatonist is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably not fascist.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.
