I agree with the general point of the article that not all criticism is valid and that just because a mob is demanding something doesn't mean you should do everything they say.
But the article has a really clickbait headline and a "Fuck gamers" attitude. Also the examples provided are really poor, especially Mass Effect Andromeda.
Like you said, the woke crowd along with journalists does the exact same the author describes and I would argue that they are more vicious and successful at it.
