No. They started to suck when they started appealing to consoles and masses.
Well, maybe you are right. Now that I think about it that started with Crysis 2, which means majority of their catalog sucks.
Hunt Showdown is pretty good though.

There's is one thing that Crytek screwed up in terms of optimization and that is in Crysis 2. They had tessellation applied to some flat surfaces and cranked up ridiculous levels which absolutely tanked performance on AMD GPUs. Huge number of polygons on a flat surface is a Yandaredev level of fuck up.

Retards in comment sections saying Crytek can't develop games and that the game is unoptimized.

This year the game is getting lower review scores from journos too. Usually Madden games hover in the 80s.
