@matrix Remember the story where the Soviet Union wanted to show the Grapes of Wrath movie as propaganda to show the plight of the working class under capitalism but had to pull it because the people were jealous of poor people in the US having cars? We know how this works out.

Retards who can't even analyze basic business practices are the ones wanting a centralized economy. Guess how that will turn out.
iPhones are probably the longest lasting phones in the market, because a) Apple wants to maintain status as a luxury brand and b) huge chunk of their income comes from the Appstore and all the other services they provide thus they want their devices to stay in usable state for long as possible

@igel @matrix There's a distinct matrix and a distinct igel in my head. You both are easily recognisable bundle of traits, hobbies and fetishes that often interlock and appear in posts together. Even if you two (especially you two) resurfaced under different avatars and names - or even without avatars and names - I'd still recognize you since this sector of the fediverse isn't that big.
An imageboard I frequent has a stable core of the same ~10 people that can often be easily identified by typing style, opinions, images they attach etc. This is vastly more difficult on a board with 10,000 users. I think all comes down to scale.
