@Moon @triodug @hj @thendrix Allow me to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Akkoma, is in fact, Pleroma/Akkoma, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Pleroma + Akkoma. Akkoma is not a standalone social network unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Pleroma system made useful by the Pleroma corelibs, shell utilities, and vital system components comprising a full server as defined by ActivityPub.

Many computer users run a modified version of the Pleroma system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Pleroma which is widely used today is often called 'Akkoma,' and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Pleroma system, developed by the Pleroma Project.

There really is an Akkoma, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Akkoma is normally used in combination with the Pleroma ActivityPub system: the whole system is basically Pleroma with Akkoma added, or Pleroma/Akkoma. All the so-called 'Akkoma' distributions are really distributions of Pleroma/Akkoma.
