The current D&D rules seem to have a lot of race erasure.
- race gives you no attribute penalties, and the bonuses are minuscule
- no race/class restrictions - feel free to make a powerful Orc Wizard etc.
- pretty much all pre-existing factions and most countries in published settings are absolutely race-blind and as diverse as possible
- the revised 2024 rules actually call it SPECIES, not RACES, because we're all one race, the humanoid race, duh!

At least our DM is racist.
