Plebbitors and a small contingency on WoW's forums are *very* unhappy with asmongold. His crime? Being popular.

Asmongold's guild OLYMPUS has over 40 "chapters" (a guild tops out at 1000 members), representing nearly 40,000 players. And this is just on the beta environment *that costs $60 minimum to play*.

Retail Andys and the usual crop of "modern audience" snowflakes are very unhappy that, surprise surprise, the Classic+ version of WoW that promises a 2000s experience is a microcosm of the 2000s Internet.

And boy oh boy do they want asmongold banned for it.

What's truly delicious is that you can watch these people, in real time, get the same treatment that we, the indigenous people of the Internet, got throughout the past decade or so.

You see, at a **MINIMUM** cost of $60 (not counting the subscription game time, anybody buying higher tiers, spillover merch or microtransaction purchases, etc.), every 1000 players asmongold has brought to the game represents $60,000 in revenue for Blizzard. 10k players is *well* over half a million in revenue, and so on.

The crowd that enjoyed game company after game company catering to them, many taking massive financial blows to do so, is now upset that Blizzard is "catering to nazi incel chuds" by not banning asmongold and anybody in an OLYMPUS guild.

The "if you don't like it you can go to another game" crowd is absolutely livid that they're being told to go back to retail WoW if they don't like the Internet's indigenous people being legion on a game that was *literally* designed specifically for them.

And again, beating a dead horse, the "this game isn't *for* you" crowd is unhappy that a game isn't *for* them. And they're unhappy with Blizzard for not saying "No" to millions of dollars in revenue just to appease them. After Concord, Dragon Age, Marathon, and countless other woke slop games failing to find the non-existent "modern audience", game companies are starting to realize that these loud whiners on Twitter and Reddit are just that: Loud whiners, many of whom were never going to be customers.

More to the point, they're having a hard time coming to terms with the idea that game and media companies never *really* subscribed to their culture war politics. It was merely convenient for a time to support Current Thing on social media. That time is coming to an end and they can't seem to handle it.

So far, a few of them have even made add-ons that exist specifically to block anybody in an OLYMPUS guild, and take other antisocial actions against the largest "faction" on the server. But it's not enough for them.

They didn't want us to go to our own spaces, they want us to not have any spaces to exist. And the pendulum is swinging back. And we'll remember how we were treated this past decade.

Shouldn't have fucked with our video games.

Komachi Panko vs Jelly Hoshiumi / Jerry

This is it, the final match! 48 hours to determine who gets the crown for 2026, and who has to settle for 2nd place again. Panko has cruised through the tournament so far, not really facing much competition, but Jelly has had an absolutely meteoric rise through the bottom half of the bracket to find herself here in the finals. Jelly matches have actually gotten MORE votes than Panko matches, so don’t count her out.

Will Panko get 3 in a row, or is this the Jear of Jerry? Let’s find out!
