Are you CRA-Ready?
Last week, OpenSSF hosted a #TechTalk all about the EU Cyber Resilience Act (#CRA)—and the conversations and engagement were incredible!
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us live! If you missed it (or want to relive the highlights), the recording and slides are now available.

I'd like to know more.
I hate it as well. The least they could do is use a FOSS option.

Why did we need a fully integrated, #PrivacyFirst #OnlineCollab tool?
Because in today’s market, there was no resilient, #OpenSource answer to #BigTech for messaging, video calls, file sharing & docs.
Until now.

I was so happy with having Devuan back on my laptop that I decided to see about getting it onto my gaming desktop. In the past I could never even get the installer to launch for the testing edition and it needed that or higher to work with a newer GPU. I was shocked and happy when it worked and I got Excalibur installed and running. Couple minor hiccups such as having to manually install Pulse Audio and the Fuse libraries so that app images and audio would work but smooth sailing otherwise. Got Devuan 6, Open RC and Mate powering her to go with the Z690 board that uses Dasharo.
I would argue that having some technicial expertise is needed but that being able to listen to those under you who know more and being able to direct the project is more important for a board member so I vote leadership skills. Anyone who has had to suffer poor leadership in any capacity knows how miserable of an experience it can be.

I refuse to use Signal until you allow me to sign up without a phone number and you allow me to use the Linux app without needing the Android or iOS app. Until you do those things I am happy to stick with options such as XMPP, Sessions and Matrix that meet my needs.

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
