I managed to try out the Arm64 build of EndeavourOS on my Pinebook Pro. Install worked like a charm. Simply burned the image to the EMMC module, booted the laptop up, and followed the prompts. Only thing I found lacking was no option for FDE during install. Hopefully it's something that can be added in at some point. In any case it's nice to have more options for OS on the Pinebook Pro. Maybe they can get an image working for the RockPro64 or even the Star64 if they wanted to go into RISC-V territory.

I still miss [H]ardOCP myself. Not too many good tech sites left these days.

RIP Anandtech :(

After Tom's Hardware started to veer away from their original highly technical reviews, Anandtech had been my go-to site for any highly technical review that went beyond just benchmarking Cinebench and Cyberpunk 2077. I currently see no other site with that level of technological depth that could fully replace them. They will be missed.

This week's donation went to Steven Barrett also known as "damentz". He's a developer that is the Maintainer of the Liquorix Kernel and co-maintainer of the Zen Kernel among other projects. The Liquorix Kernel is designed for responsiveness in interactive systems, enabling low latency compute in A/V production, and reduced frame time deviations in games. Some distros that use the Liquorix and Zen kernels include Nitrux and Garuda.

Agreed but these days raising your voice at kids can land you in with child services. I don't envy the parents these days. To a large extent govt needs to but out of the home in order for parents to be able to do their jobs.

Game developer "WhiteGiantRPG" have put their games on Itch recently. That includes Last Dream, Last Dream: World Unknown, Last Dream Fishing Arcade, as well as a store page for their upcoming sequel Last Dream II. All have a native Linux version and are available DRM free.

Would probably jump out of the plane without a parachute. Can't say any of those seats interest me. For every good person there's proximity to a retard.
