Going through all the guides and "hold power button down" for varying amounts of seconds.

Vote with your dollars. Defund incompetence and DEI. Inclusiveness for its own sake is a recipe for ruin.

If you do want DEI and what it stands for, by all means go out and buy another non-upgradable and un-repairable MacBook.
