@nik @tuxcrafting TERF instance, Extremist Feminists (the kind people love to make fun of), but as a bonus they also hate trans people
- Out of 8,000+ users I've witnessed about 2 who genuinely hate trans people. There are a number of trans users on the site (transsexuals, mostly) who want more freedom to have the full conversation about gender.
- The discussion happening on Spinster right now is about porn being linked to sex trafficking, which is a horrible reason to hate it.
@tuxcrafting @alex @Meeper @nik Yeah that’s not my experience with it. So many posts I saw were talking about “men invading womens spaces”. Nah, its a pretty terrible place.
However, I’m pleased that Alex runs the site (because its funny that a man runs the feminist site) and also that it contains them in a nice little box.

Never been a huge fan of #Spinster as a whole but I've found some nice users from there more recently. A big problem I'd run into would be the user I try to engage with is sexist and hates men; as soon as I replied to their messages, they'd accuse me of "mansplaining" and block me lol...far more people on that instance hate men than hate trans people
But again, that's not everyone, just my initial experience. My experience with the users is a bit better now.

Also man-hating is hating 49% of Earths population, and trans-hating is hating 0.05% of the population.
Most who get labeled "TERF" do not hate trans people at all. We know there are people who have dysphoria and that transition seems to be the thing that helps them get on with life. We get called TERF because we understand that you can't literally change your sex (trans women/men get called truscum for the same reasons). We get called TERF because we do not want children to be pushed towards transition. We get called TERF because we know there are creepy men LARPing as women. We get called TERF because we fight for single sex spaces where we think they are necessary, such as prisons, changing rooms, rape crisis shelters, etc. Weirdest of all, we get called TERF for wanting to have a voice in the debate over laws that will affect all of us.
