@Coomer do you have bad dreams? I mean, is there a specific reason why you're scared at night? There may be some sort of a self-help thing you could do to improve your situation.

When i was about 12, i had horrendous nightmares on a regular basis, so i discovered Dream Interpretation (which turned out to be bunk, but wait, there's more). In the process of studying it and writing down my dreams, i learned how to control them to a certain degree, such as programming myself to wake if any of my (many) repetitive nightmares began. For instance, there was one i used to have about a serial killer clown trying to lure me closer in a park; i learned to recognize the trigger (clowns) and automatically wake before the dream could really get off the ground. I haven't had a dream with a clown in it for decades; my brain just gave up on trying to torture me with that one because it became so ineffective. I haven't looked into lucid dreaming much but i'd bet that it uses the parts of dream interpretation that actually worked and discarded the bullshit.

Some of this stuff still continues to this day. At this point, the worst dreams i have are ones in which i become uncomfortable or angry. I haven't figured out a way to stop annoying dreams because they start out so mundane and there isn't a particular trigger to stamp out. But that beats the shit out of waking up screaming and jumping out of bed ready to fight.

If it's waking paranoia, like every little sound is a burglar breaking in or something like that, idk how to help you, but there's probably some sort of a self-help thing that will. Just don't spend too much money on it lol. If they want more than the price of a standard hardback book of a similar length, it's a scam. You can probably fix this problem yourself, though, and you'll be a lot better off.

@Grandtheftautism
I'm DySfUnCtIoNaL and am afraid to sleep by myself d: Uess I'm in bed with someone it's just a Hellish time for me, and atm that only happens once a month or so.

My free time is mornings, I usually get some exercise (not as much as I should lately), do some reading, listen to music, before I start posting and working for the day.

@rw so sad to hear the bernie caught corona virus and died instantly right there, on the stage before millions of supporters, collapsing into pile of dust. What a rotten way to die.

@Bofehuge Perhaps there's an singles community you could possibly join? Maybe IRL or online?

You know why I hate dating apps? It’s because no matter how much I try to use them, I never get anything out of them. I never get any likes or feedback. I guess I’m destined to be single for life. I guess dating apps and sites are bias against intersex/DSD people like myself. #Gab #Dating

A friend of mine who's an avid hugger needed a hug tonight so I gave her a big one and she said "you're a really good hugger".

I'm not a very physical person at all and have only really begun giving out hugs this academic year and am still awkward at it and a little bit uncomfortable with them so it's a huge compliment actually.
