@OrganicNectar96@mstdn.social 😂 I just met you here on the fedi but I feel like we are going to get along. 😎

I ate two yesterday and my stomach is already acting up.

This stuff can't be good for you.

That said, I will probably eat more later today 😅 (just not as many as I would have without the biological warning lol)

@realcaseyrollins I have no doubt many politicians want to see a more socialistic government.

I just think its rediculous they engineered soe sort of global pandemic that every single country has seen and responded to the same in some global conspiracy to bring about socialism.

It is at best opportunistic and not a conspiracy.

@realcaseyrollins yea that makes sense. Though our resources to do that securely (hazmat equipment) is likely limited for that sort of scale.

Either way I agree in principle that the lockdown needs some checks. There should be a strong push to reduce it and modulate it based on the actual numbers we see.

I've said fromt he begining the biggest issue with lockdown isnt its existance but the lack of a clear gameplan of when and how it ends.

@freemo I know, not everybody sees it. (Neither did the boiling frog, BTW.) But it's still real.

You can deny it if you wish, it's not like this is something these politicians are outright claiming they want to do, save a radical few. But pay closer attention to the more fascist of the governors and you might be able to see a little bit of what the freedom fighters are worried about in this regard.

Some politicians do want indefinite lockdowns, or lockdowns until we get a vaccine, which is basically the same thing. Listen for the keyword "new normal". That means they will never willingly give their citizens all their freedoms back.

@freemo Well I agree with this. This is one of the few reasons to continue the lockdown.

I think one this that should happen too is, when you compare states with lots of cases and deaths to those that don't, they're greatly outnumbered. There are states with barely any cases at all, so of course, their ICUs won't be as full. If it's possible to securely send people with the to ICUs in neighboring states, that would be nice, because it would help, I think.

@realcaseyrollins There **Were** ICU shortages which prompted the lockdown in the first place. Obviously ICUs no longer have a shortage condition specifically because of those lockdowns, the lockdowns worked.

The issues that could potentially crop back up is seeing the same ICU shortages we were seeing before the lockdown. Though immunity may have spread enough this wouldnt happen, which is why we would need to gradually lift restrictions and continue to monitor the shortage to determine what level of lockdown, if any, makes sense given the current herd immunity.

@freemo What are you talking about? They are weaning people off of indipendece and , and trying to put the entire nation on wellfare via these endless stimulus checks at the same time as killing as many jobs as they can without blowback.

It's not going to be instant, it's more of a slowly boiling frog type thing, but if the left has their way, in the * will * be dead and we will be ushered into an era of nationwide poverty and lack of resources.

@freemo I would agree if there were ICU shortages/capacity issues. But there aren't.

What "issues" are you referring to, which would crop up?

@freemo
P.S. governments would never agree to a fixed, objective standard for when to lift the restrictions, because this isn't really about the , in my view. These despots want power.
