Yes, This is the biggest issue with fediverse.
They (most admin) think they are doing something good by simply censoring these people and that is the reason I don't hate Twitter that much now.
I can share my opinion about trans people but you will simply ban me just because I shared what I think. You didn't listen or trying to change my views over it.

Censorship is an oversimpligication of the problem to me.
The issue is if we want to get anywhere as a society people need to be able to discuss unpopular even hateful opinions respectfully. Its the only way anyone can grow or learn past their views in the first place.
Taking away peoples voice when they are being respectful but hold a very negative view doesnt help anything, it just makes it worse.
@koyu @design_RG @freemo @vibhi not disagreeing with you. I just don't like 1357, or people using it as an argument for censorship when it really isn't.
@koyu @vibhi @freemo @design_RG 1357 is kinda a flawed argument though. Free speech as a concept is different from the first amendment. You *can* censor people on your platform but that doesn't mean you should.
